Why
This project was the most rewarding experience of my undergraduate degree! I love independent publications, I'm very passionate about the environment, and when presented with the option to lead my own project in my last year as an undergrad I jumped at that opportunity.
Mindscapes
Proposed and presented options for how we might host a digital symposium
Sought outand and organized feedback from the group and took appropriate action for design and function of the live event
Coordinated and maintained public documents for the team
Editing support
I was also a contributor to the Symposium. If you are interested in my piece, check out my creator page!

Why
I had only been a symposium editor for about a week in March 2020 when York closed its physical doors due to the pandemic. The symposium director was ready to postpone the event until we could have it in person, but I knew it was possible to host a digital symposium. I was a catalyst for York University's first digital symposium and worked with a team to make the event happen.
ā
I asked to join the following year's symposium as a mentor to help troubleshoot tech issues (including during the live event) and supported coordinators with unifying design ideas. Check out the York University 2021 Symposium, Liminalities!
